Patrik Schumacher (Zaha Hadid Architects) in Vienna

On June 2, Schumacher presented the winning design for the Library & Learning Center of the new Vienna University of Economics and Business. The new WU-ensemble in Vienna's Prater is supposed to be completed until autumn 2012.

Subsequently, the internationally renowned architecture theorist explained the design ideas by Zaha Hadid Architects, such as fluidity in all design areas. Connected to architectural history Schumacher focussed on "Parametricism" as "new, big style after modernism". Schumacher's complete „Parametricist Manifesto“ can be downloaded from his website.
